Zombie Novel Hosts Weapons Demo at Geekfest / Zombie Con 2014

New Novel, Journal of a South African Zombie Apocalypse, to be at Geekfest 2014 and hosts survival weapons demonstration 

Journal of a South African Apocalypse will be at Geekfest on 29 November 2014. The new apocalyptic novel will be on sale in the Zombie Compound and forms part of the first South African Zombie Con. Author Lee Herrmann will also be hosting a survival weapons demonstration at 14:00 to educate and prepare all doomsayers in the event of a looming apocalypse. All horror and zombie fans are encouraged to head to the Ball and All Driving Range, Pub & Restaurant on Saturday to participate in all things zombie.  

Zombie Con debuts at Geekfest 2014 and boasts a zombie dress-up competition, Parade of the Dead, zombie gear as well as demonstrations to prepare the uninitiated for potential outbreaks. Journal of a South African Apocalypseauthor Lee Herrmann will be hosting a weapons demonstration at the event. ‘No one expects the apocalypse and chances are the average person will be caught totally off guard. We’ll be having a look and the type of weapons you can make with things around the house and some other survival tips. Think of it as Zombie Killing for Dummies,’ says Herrmann. The survival weapons demonstration starts at 14:00 in the Zombie Compound.

Told from the perspective of sixteen-year-old Kon, Journal of a South African Zombie Apocalypse is a coming of age story in a very different South Africa, and chronicles one family’s fight for survival against the walking dead. Books will be on sale for R120 and fans have the opportunity to have their copy signed by the author.
