Journal of a South African Zombie Apocalypse to be at Smallville Comics Grand Opening
Submitted by: South African Zombie ApocalypseLee Herrmann, author of Journal of a South African Zombie Apocalypse, to do book signing at the opening of Smallville Comics in Alberton
Nothing to do this weekend? Smallville Comics in Alberton is celebrating a grand re-opening and will be hosting, author of a new Zombie book Journal of a South African Zombie Apocalypse as part of their ‘Walk-In Dead’ event. Herrmann will appear on Sunday 1st of March, from 11:00 to sign copies of his local post-apocalyptic thriller and chat all things zombie. All Comic Book and Zombies Fans are invited to the grand opening for a real pop culture experience.
Zombies are a fascinating subject matter. Post-apocalyptic tales are often less about zombies and more about the survivors. They are a reflection of ourselves and our fears, often giving us food for thought on what we would do to survive. Plus, zombies are just plain cool,’ says Hermann of his second novel. To celebrate the kick-off of the new store, there will be a marathon viewing of The Walking Dead Season 5 from episodes 9-11 as an intro to Smallville comic’s weekly The Walk-in Dead event. There’s no cover charge for these events and we are looking forward to seeing all our zombie fans at Smallville Comics' new store.
Told from the perspective of sixteen-year-old Kon, Journal of a South African Zombie Apocalypse is a coming of age story in a very different South Africa, and chronicles one family’s fight for survival against the walking dead. Books will be on sale for R120 and fans have the opportunity to have their copy signed by the author.
Journal of a South African Zombie Apocalypse is also available from Amazon, Kalahari, Porcupine Press and Loot as an e-book and hard copy. Also available in selected bookstores.
