The author of Journal of a South African Zombie Apocalypse premiers new novel, The South African Zombie Apocalypse, at Geekfest 2015
South Africa’s biggest festival of comics, cosplay, gaming and all things geeky is happening on Saturday, 4 July at Huddle Park in Linksfield. Journal of a South African Zombie Apocalypse author Lee Herrmann will once again be in attendance at Geekfest, debuting his new zombie brand and latest novel: The South African Zombie Apocalypse Survival Guide.
SAZA (South African Zombie Apocalypse) is the brainchild of Herrmann and long-time collaborator Stephen Lewis and is described as ‘ground zero for all things zombie.’ SAZA serves as an umbrella brand for zombie fiction and merchandise in the ever-growing genre. This year at Geekfest SAZA will be selling both their current novels (Journal of a South African Zombie Apocalypse and The South African Zombie Apocalypse Survival Guide), as well as original zombie themed t-shirts (Z-Tees). They’ll even have a live zombie for photo opportunities.
Geekfest 2015 will also be the first time zombie and horror fans will be able to purchase SAZA’s newest publication The South African Zombie Apocalypse Survival Guide. The book is a practical how-to guide for when the eventual apocalypse comes knocking at your door. It provides advice on how to kill a zombie, where to go, what weapons to use and even where to loot, if you were so inclined. ‘Zombies are still big at the moment and our Survival Guide gives specific information for the South African landscape. It will help you gauge how you would survive a Zombie Apocalypse, and we have a lot of fun looking at the most effective weapons and vehicles… and basically how to smash a zombie!’ says Herrmann.
The book will be on sale for R130 each and also available in an exclusive combo deal with Herrmann’s first book (Journal of a South African Zombie Apocalypse) at R250 for both. The author will be available to sign copies.
Geekfest takes place on Saturday, 4 July at Huddle Park, Club Road in Linksfield. Gates open at 10am. For more information on Geekfest visit their Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/GeekFestSA
