Three wanted suspects apprehended in Pretoria
Written by: Jacqui Save to InstapaperOn 22 February Fidelity Shopping Centre Tactical Team Pretoria Officers Paul Grobler and Cecil Botha played an intergral role in the arrest of three suspects.
The officers received information from SAPS Highway patrol team that a suspect that planned to commit house robberies had just entered the area.
The Fidelity officers responded immediately and started patrolling looking for the vehicle. They spotted the vehicle in front of a residential property on Watloo road. Calling for backup, they kept a close eye on the vehicle while SAPS, Fidelity ADT, and other security companies responded.
The Fidelity ADT reaction team intercepted the vehicle and SAPS managed to arrest three suspects. The officers searched the vehicle and found breaking tools and an unlicensed Firearm in their possession.
The vehicle was also linked to numerous positive house robberies in the Pretoria area in the last 2 months with case numbers from Silverton SAPS.
Leon Muller, District Manager for Fidelity ADT says, “I commend SAPS and our officers for their quick action and managing to apprehend the suspects. These arrests highlight the importance of security companies working closely with SAPS. Having officer patrolling and being on call makes all the difference.
