Fidelity ADT Urges Residents to Be Vigilant Johannesburg South
Written by: Jacqui Save to InstapaperFidelity ADT is urging residents in Naturena and surrounding areas to be vigilant following a recent incident where a young couple was robbed by suspects while parked on the street late at night outside their house.
Charnel Hattingh, Group Head of Marketing & Communications for Fidelity ADT, said, “We are noticing an emerging trend where criminals are targeting individuals who are sitting in their cars late at night or standing and chatting outside after dropping someone off. These opportunistic criminals are always looking for easy targets.”
Hattingh added, “We strongly advise residents not to sit in their cars late at night. Instead, drive into your yard and lock the gates. Similarly, when dropping people off, don’t stand and chat outside. Go inside, close and lock the gate.”Fidelity ADT is committed to ensuring the safety and security of all residents. The company is working closely with local law enforcement agencies to address this issue and is encouraging residents to report any suspicious activities.
“We all have a role to play in ensuring our own safety and the safety of our communities,” said Hattingh. “By being vigilant and taking these simple precautions, we can help deter these criminals and make our neighbourhoods safer.”
