SA websites can now display ‘live data feeds’ from the World Cup in Russia
Written by: Gerrit Davids Save to InstapaperWith the world gearing up to be entertained by the hottest football players on the planet, for a whole month in the World Cup taking place in Russia, South African based company, Gerom Media, Sports & Entertainment (Pty) Ltd has signed a deal with German based, Data Sports Group (DSG) to allow local websites to display up-to-the-minute data live 24/7 for the duration of the tournament.
According to Gerrit Davids, MD of Gerom Media, the ‘live data feed’ is an ideal platform, which is seamlessly integrated into any website and it will give owners an edge over others since their visitors will be able to view real-time game information, in-depth match statistics and multiple data points for all 64 matches to be played during the tournament.
Davids says, “the live data feed is an ideal tool for football clubs, leagues, FA’s, media companies, fantasy game providers, telecom and mobile VAS providers, companies running App’s, sports websites and commercial brands looking to create a connection between their consumers and the World Cup”.
“Websites interested to display the ‘live data feed’ can either to do so by using our API, Widgets or a choice of Hosted Solutions”.
“Publishers could use the ‘live data feed’ to complement existing content on their websites and we can even provide Widgets, which could be inserted under any news article, whether it is World Cup related or not.”
“Telecom companies and Mobile VAS Providers could also use the API and opt to either receive auto text notifications generated from the database with Match and Goal Alerts, which they could distribute to their subscribers”.
“Companies running Apps and sports websites have the option of using the ‘live data feed’ via our API or optiing for Widgets or Microsite services to display the data and statistics”.
The ‘live data feed packages’ are offered on different tiers inclusive of Basic, Advanced, Archive, Graphics and Premium respectively.
