AI in the Workplace Training Helps South African Organisations Adopt AI Responsibly
Written by: Arnold Muscat Save to Instapaper
Johannesburg, January, 15,2026 - South Africa – As artificial intelligence tools such as ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot become increasingly common in South African workplaces.
Many organisations are adopting AI informally, without clear governance, policies, or accountability structures.
College Africa Group has released its AI in the Workplace Training South Africa programme to help organisations move from unstructured AI experimentation to safe, practical, and responsible workplace use.
The training is designed for HR, finance, administration, and management teams, focusing on real-world business scenarios rather than technical theory.
The programme is built around a core principle: AI produces language, not truth. Human leadership and accountability must always remain in control.
Participants learn how to utilise AI tools to enhance communication, reporting, documentation, and productivity, while aligning AI use with internal policies and South Africa’s Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA).
“Many organisations are already using AI daily, but without clear rules,” said Arnold Muscat, Director at College Africa Group.
“Our training helps teams understand where AI adds value, where it creates risk, and how to use it responsibly under human oversight.”
The AI in the Workplace Training is positioned as a foundational programme, recommended before any role-specific AI training for HR, finance, or Excel users.
Training is available in-person and online across South Africa.
