AI in the Workplace Training Supports Responsible AI Governance in South Africa

Johannesburg, January 25, 2026 - As artificial intelligence tools such as ChatGPT and Microsoft Copilot become more common in offices, many South African organisations are recognising the need for clearer rules and governance around AI use.
College Africa Group (CAG), a South African corporate training provider, reports increased demand from organisations seeking practical guidance on how to use AI responsibly while remaining aligned with POPIA and internal policies.
CAG’s AI in the Workplace Training is designed as a foundational programme that helps teams understand where AI adds value, where risks arise, and how accountability must remain with people.
A core principle emphasised throughout the training is that AI produces language, not truth — meaning all AI-generated outputs must be reviewed, validated, and owned by people before being relied upon in business decisions.
The programme focuses on:
-
- Responsible and safe AI use in everyday work
- Alignment with POPIA and organisational governance frameworksImproving real business outputs such as emails, reports, administration, and Excel support
- Reinforcing human accountability and decision-makingUnlike technical AI courses.
- The programme is non-technical and practical, making it suitable for HR, finance, admin, and management teams. It is positioned as a first step before role-specific AI training.
As AI adoption accelerates, organisations are under increasing pressure to demonstrate that AI use is controlled, ethical, and compliant.
