Brands have a new interactive video call platform to engage their customers
Submitted by: G J Davids
Brands have been given access to a new and exciting video call platform, which is ideal to create engaging conversations with their customers.
The video call platform in essence gives brands the creative leeway to solicit feedback from the market or to facilitate live one-on-one conversations between their customers and ambassadors, influencers, or high-profile personalities.
The platform features a special sixty-second-only, live one-on-one conversation, allowing customers to ask a single question during the activation.
The most exciting part of the platform is that brands could run a contest via its usual social and digital media channels and offer up to 50 lucky customers the chance to win a private one-on-one conversation with the selected company representative, brand ambassador, or high-profile personality.
For customers, getting selected to join in on the conversation, all they have to do is to enter their details including their names and contact details, and the list of entries is shared with the brand for future marketing.
Customers who are selected will have a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to ask the host a question, they’ve always dreamt of asking!
Those selected to participate in the activation don’t have to download another App and it does not cost them anything in addition to consuming their data.
The platform is different from MS Teams or Zoom, and only the customer and the host, are present in the video call chat.
Once customers are selected, they will join the session through a link via their phones to start the live one-on-one video chat and the engagement will only last for 60 seconds.
At the end of the 60 seconds, a picture is taken to capture the special moment of the video call, and a recorded copy is only shared with the brand, which it may post on its own social media and digital channels.
According to Gerrit Davids, MD, Gerom Media, “It is imperative for brands to always have a customer-first centric approach when looking to create conversations through digital platforms".
Davids says, “The intrinsic value for a brand, creating a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for a customer to engage a brand ambassador or a high-profile personality, will not only leave lasting memories for the customer but also enforce extended brand loyalty”.
Current users of the platform include the Professional Tennis Players Association (PTPA), Wrexham FC, the Nashville Predators, Chicago Bulls, and the French Ligue 1, just to mention a few.

About Gerom MediaGerom Media offers brands a highly interactive digital video call platform, which could be used for both B2B and B2C campaigns. Brands could use it to create, interactive, engaging, and valuable conversations for their customers with ambassadors or high-profile personalities who represent the values of the brand. Brands could facilitate these engagements by running contests for consumers to be selected to have their own exclusive chat with the participating personality. The digital video platform is not another App to be downloaded by consumers, but they will merely use a link to enter the platform to chat with the participating personality. Participating customers will only have 60 seconds to ask their questions and get answers from the personality with a recording of the chat given to the brand after the promotion, which it may post on all its social media channels or use it in future campaigns.
