Taking to the market’s Brampton Sound Stage for Friday Nite LIVE! on June 22nd is singer/songwriter, Natasha Meister. This young guitar maestro has become our very own Blues Queen in the two short years since returning from Canada to her ancestral home in Africa. At only 20, she has made a huge impact on discerning SA audiences, especially in the blues/funk niche. Natasha has a great bluesy, Motown voice, plays phenomenal electric and acoustic guitar and is a gifted songwriter. Don’t miss this performance.
Entertaining audiences on Saturday June 23rd is unique jazz-fusion band Abbott Nu Jazz. Created by SAMA-nominated artist Guillaume de Villiers, this outfit is bound to wow audiences as they cross and blend genres with a creative use of contemporary technology. Abbott Nu Jazz makes use of live stage looping and masterful improvisation to create their distinctive sound.
‘One man band’ Jamie Jupiter brings his impressive musical skills to the Bay Harbour Market on Sunday June 24th. Jamie is an experienced muso having played different instruments for various bands both locally and abroad. His diverse skills come to life in his solo show, which utilizes live recorded sound loops allowing Jamie to layer each song with a multitude of fascinating sounds creating the effect of a full band. Watching him create his sound is an education and a treat.
The Bay Harbour Market, Hout Bay also showcases over 100 stalls featuring arts, crafts, fashion, decor and delicious cuisine.
