DJ Prophet 777 Ignites the Summer Vibe at Bay Harbour Market
Submitted by: Ian DickinsonOn Saturday, 28 December, market visitors will love the sweet sounds of South African Gospel House producer/ composer DJ Prophet 777; Los Tacos brings their vibrant Latin style music on 27 December, for Friday Nite LIVE!, and the silky sounds of the Paige Mac Band will grace the stage on Sunday 29 December.
Friday Nite LIVE! 27 December – Los Tacos
Los Tacos put a Latina spin on this weekends’ music as the Bay Harbour Sound Stage heats up for Friday Nite LIVE! Their vibrant sounds marry the spirit of Cape Town to the spicy vibes of Latina swing with Jeronimo De Los Rios on vocals, Jesse Gillis on guitar, Shaun Cloete on keys and guitar, Wade Potts Brown on drums and Glenn Stein on bass.
Saturday 28 December – DJ Prophet 777
The Bay Harbour Sound Stage gears up for the gospel house sounds of DJ Prophet 777. DJ Prophet777 is a full-time Gospel DJ who has dedicated his skills and talents to spreading a message of hope through the art of turntables. Having endured hardships in his youth on the streets of Retreat Township in Cape Town, DJ Prophet 777 has achieved great recognition amongst his contemporaries.
Sunday 29 December – Paige Mac
Audiences are in for a treat this weekend with the world-class sounds of the Paige Mac Band set to grace the Bay Harbour Sound Stage this Sunday. The Paige Mac Band is fronted by well-known singer/songwriter, Paige MacMahon, with Garry van Vuuren on bass, djembe and cowbell with Giorgio Laporta on drums. The Paige Mac Band has an authentic acoustic sound with a folk edge and is inspired by the likes of Adele, Amy Winehouse and Nina Simone.
