Chilled Vibes at The Bay Harbour Market This Weekend
Submitted by: Ian DickinsonWith an amazing line-up of awesome South African music talent, the Bay Harbour Market in Hout Bay is the place to be this weekend!
On Friday 4 May, Cape Town-based Flamenco guitar duo Kubu Strings takes to the Brampton Sound Stage at the Bay Harbour Market, Hout Bay for Friday Night LIVE! Comprised of classically-trained musicians Pierre Fourie and Nizaar Allie, Kubu Strings combines Nouveau Flamenco guitar sounds with Bossa nova, nu jazz, classical, Eastern and African beats. They perform original compositions and are certainly not to be missed.
Taking to the stage on Saturday, May 5, is Abbott Jazz, featuring keyboard player “J”, Peter Dlodlo on sax and Dave Novis on percussion and drums. The trio will play a collection of traditional-style New Orleans jazz numbers.
Bringing the weekend to a close on Sunday May 6 is talented young singer and guitarist Emma Rycroft. This gifted songstress has been playing the guitar since the tender age of 9 and is inspired by the likes of the Beatles, Laura Marling, Regina Spektor, Mumford & Sons and The Alabama Shakes.
The Bay Harbour Market, Hout Bay also showcases over 100 stalls featuring arts, crafts, fashion, decor and delicious cuisine.
