Windmill Casino Celebrates December With Santa’s Village Family Fun Christmas Lunch And A New Year Street Party

Windmill Casino is in full festive season mode, with fun for the whole family, from Santa’s Village to a Christmas lunch buffet, and culminating with a street party on New Year’s Eve.
Santa’s Village – Thursday, 18 December to Saturday, 20 December 2025
Live music, a vibrant night market, and plenty of activities for the little ones. Donations towards New Beginnings Animal Shelter are welcome and greatly appreciated. For visitors who would like to donate pet food, blankets, beds, bowls and/or toys, a donation box will be on site.
“Thank you in advance to Windmill and all visitors for your generous donations. It costs more than R220 000 a month to run our operations, and we care for up to 70 animals at any given time. Every donation, big or small, is greatly appreciated, especially during this festive season,” said Natalie Kotze, president of New Beginnings.
Children can meet Santa and his cheerful helpers in the enchanting Santa Village, where they can share their Christmas wishes. Parents, don’t forget to capture these magical moments with keepsake photos of your children’s special visit.

Christmas Lunch Buffet – Thursday, 25 December 2025
Hang up the apron and reserve a table at Windmill for a memorable Christmas lunch.
Friends and families are invited to a festive feast filled with delicious dishes and holiday cheer. Don’t miss out on this delightful holiday experience.
Begin with cold dishes like cheese platters with Brie, camembert, blue cheese and cheddar; charcuterie including ox tongue, chorizo, pastrami, salami; smoked snoek pâté and hummus; sweet mustard, apricot and chilli chutney, and olive tapenade with corn bread, bagels and pretzels. Tuck into salads of watermelon, feta and olive; sweet potato, pecan nuts, and baby spinach; pomegranate and goat’s cheese; and curried pasta.
Moving on to the hot buffet, expect pineapple glazed gammon with spiced cherry chutney; roast leg of lamb, with chimichurri and roast onions; herb crusted turkey with apple cider gravy; and beef pot pie. On the side: a selection of seasonal vegetables, savoury rice and garlic and parmesan baby potatoes.
For the finishing touch there will be vanilla and saffron poached pears; berry, pistachio and lemon curd trifle; fruit tartlets, Peppermint Crisp tartlets; salted caramel Swiss roll; vanilla panna cotta with spiced plums, and of course, Christmas pudding and custard.
