Meropa Entertainment World Unveils Dynamic May Line Up Featuring Gospel Music And Cultural Events

Begin the month with Dr Winnie Mashaba’s marathon gospel performance which will be recorded live. The following Saturday, Lekompo Balcony Mix 9 is set to host its ninth episode at Meropa Outdoor Arena. At the end of May, Rhythm & Roots Fest takes over with a vibrant music and culture festival.
Dr Winnie Mashaba Prayer Night Live Recording – Saturday, 2 May 2026
Experience the powerful voice of Dr Winnie Mashaba leading heartfelt worship, and be part of a live recording. The night will feature inspiring gospel performances, collective worship and the opportunity to connect with fellow believers.
Mashaba is a gospel singer, TV presenter, and businesswoman. She has been nominated for numerous awards, including a Kora for Best African Spiritual Female in 2005. Other awards include the South African Music Awards (SAMA), South African Gospel Awards and Metro FM Music Awards. Her honorary doctorate is from Trinity International Bible University (TIBU) for her work in music.
Tickets are limited; VIP tickets include photoshoot priority with the main artist, dinner and goodies.

Lekompo Balcony Mix 9 is set to host its ninth episode at Meropa Outdoor Arena on Saturday, 9 May 2026, featuring King Monada & Makhadzi. LBM9 will feature the two artists’ songs in the Mix which will be for a duration of 1 hour 45 mins.
This exciting gathering will feature renowned artists King Modana, Makhadzi and many more who will entertain their fans with their unique playlists. These include Kaycherlow, Natiey Lepaka, Tribby Wa Di Bhozza, Abi Wa Mampela, Poobington, and Dil Brill with MCs Thapelo Rabothata, Allen Winner, and Ross Madlisa. DJs include Chachamisa Canny, Mvzzle, Shapzen Moratho, Hitboss SA, Janisto, Ceephonik, Izzy Maps, BL Zero, Buddysax & DJ Angelo, DJ Tasha Babe, King Salah, Cue Master & Blackbuddy, DJ West, and DJ Liquidator.
The theme for the event is all black, all white, or black and white.
