Formed in 2011, the Amy-Lu Crew is a fresh, female-fronted band from Cape Town, with a funky, upbeat and soulful vibe. In their short time together, The Amy-Lu Crew have started making major waves in the Cape Town music scene, having already shared the stage with local greats The Jack Mantis band and Canadian-born blues singer/songwriter Natasha Meister.Entertaining audiences on Saturday May 4 is loop-pedal maestro Danny in the Loop. Danny in the Loop uses his rock ‘n roll voice and bluesy guitar and percussion instruments to record, layer and loop compositions in a live situation. The product is an incredibly dynamic funky-folk-rock sound with a definite blues twang.Ending the weekend off on Sunday May 5 is classical guitarist Francois Sors. Having studied at the South African College of Music under South Africa’s number one classical guitarist, James Grace, Francois Sors is on the fast track to becoming one of the country’s most acclaimed classical guitarists. His natural talent combines with professional classical training to produce a live performance that will astound audiences.
