Submitted by: Ian DickinsonIf you are looking for something to do this long weekend, head to the Bay Harbour Market for fresh SA bands, mouth-watering food, art and crafts and stunning fashion.
On Friday September 21, jazz band Cardigan Buzz are back on the Brampton Sound Stage to entertain audiences with their interesting blend of jazz, swing, folk and blues. Cardigan Buzz has enjoyed commercial success and local radio play with their original track 'Meaning of You' and are sure to get you grooving.
Hitting the stage on Saturday September 22 is jazz/blues outfit the RJM Trio. This fresh, young Capetonian band, consisting of drums, guitar and double bass has been touring the East Coast gaining experience opening for established jazz artists. The trio play a range of easy-listening soft jazz tracks.
On Sunday September 23, Neil van der Walt takes to the stage with his repertoire of popular African songs and rhythms. Neil is a well-known bassist from the Garden Route who has performed with the likes of Steve Newman, Robin Auld and Wendy Oldfield. His creative use of live overdubbing and looping is quite unique. Neil will be joined on stage by a couple of fellow musos who will compliment his soulful bass skills.
