Browse the stalls or grab a bite to eat while you enjoy the tunes at Cape Town’s most vibrant market!Hitting the Bay Harbour Sound Stage for Friday Nite LIVE! on May 17 is blues maestro Larry Amos and SA music legend Steve Van. Larry is no stranger to the SA music scene having wowed audiences all over the country with his masterful guitar playing and powerful blues voice. Steve Van has enjoyed success on the local music scene with various bands including Junglebook Vultures, Rust and the Vans. This is a performance you don’t want to miss!Playing on Saturday May 18 is acoustic blues band The Room Trio. Matt Murdoch and James Middleton hail from a blues background and have been jamming together for over 4 years covering artists like Muddy Waters, Eric Clapton and Dire Straits. The band has taken on a new dimension with the addition of percussionist Brian van Vuuren. The Room Trio play a wide range of original and cover songs including tunes from the likes of Eric Clapton, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Dire Straits and The Doors.Taking to the stage on Sunday May 19 is eclectic jazz band UPfront. Led by founding member Brad Saunders on guitar and vocals, UPfront is a collective of experienced and talented musicians. Bassist Wayne de Smidt has toured the SA hotel circuit with top Cape Town musicians, while drummer Joshua Anthony is an upcoming talent who recently filled in for Freshly Ground's Peter Cohen. Keyboardist Charlie Louw has played with influential SA jazz musos and has toured extensively across SA and Asia.
