Dan Patlansky Live at Bay Harbour Unplugged Sessions in Hout Bay
Written by: Ian Dickinson Save to InstapaperJust returned from his European tour, the charismatic and infinitely talented Blues musician Dan Patlansky performs in his favourite setting, live and unplugged, at Bay Harbour Market in Hout Bay on 26 September.
In just over a decade on the music scene, Dan Patlansky has become one of the most respected blues artists to ever come out of South Africa, achieving on a six-string Fender Stratocaster what many acclaimed guitarists aspire to achieve in a lifetime.
Aside from being a master on the guitar, as a vocalist, Dan’s gut-wrenching quality compliments the renegade approach to the Blues. His music can best be described as vacillating between slick, soulful blues and the renegade psychedelic angst with the raw emotion of Hendrix and Zeppelin.
Dan is a conglomerate of charisma, charm and musical genius – and all of this comes wrapped in an unassuming, startlingly-attractive package that bespeaks his Judeo-Spanish heritage.
The Bay Harbour Unplugged Sessions will feature Dan Patlansky in a candlelit, intimate setting, brought to you by Real Concerts at the Bay Harbour Market venue.
Selected food stalls will be open as well as a full bar, promising an intimate evening with world-class entertainment in a warm and vibrant setting. Limited tickets are available.
