Cale and Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, this unique band will have audiences tapping their feet and bopping their heads. With a versatile sound that combines blues and rock with a touch of 40s swing, Ann Jangle is steadily making their distinctive mark on the South African music scene.Saturday, March 23rd – Alex Baker Taking to the Bay Harbour Sound Stage on Saturday, March 23rd with some superb classical/flamenco guitar compositions is talented musician Alex Baker. Alex began his musical career at the young age of 12 and has spent many years moving through a variety of different styles and genres. His experience has culminated in a unique blend of classical, flamenco and rock technique combined with an expressive style that captures passion and emotion. Sunday, March 24th – Margaret’s DaughterEnding the weekend off with a bang on March 24th is acclaimed acoustic duo Margaret’s Daughter. Over the years, this dynamic double act has shared the stage with many of South Africa’s top artists, has played most of South Africa’s major festivals and has even performed internationally (Mexico, England, Spain and Mozambique). The duo’s timeless songs and unique vocals, accompanied by rhythmic acoustic guitar playing make for the perfect soundtrack for a relaxing day at the market. See you there!Friday, March 29th – The RivertonesTaking to the stage on March 29th for Friday Night LIVE! is popular Cape Town reggae band The Rivertones. Experienced frontman Roland Geoffery Nair has been performing since he was 12 and has jammed with the likes of “The Wailers” (Bob Marley’s band). He formed the Rivertones in 2006, and they have gone to play at major festivals across the country. These reggae masters will leave you feeling suitably “irie”. Saturday, March 30th – DJ Prophet 777Hitting the Bay Harbour Sound stage on Saturday, March 30th is South African Gospel House Music DJ and Producer/ Composer, DJ Prophet777. DJ Prophet 777 is a full-time Gospel DJ who has dedicated his skills and talents to spreading the message of hope and salvation through the art of turntables. Having endured hardships in his youth on the streets of Retreat in Cape Town, DJ Prophet 777 has gone on to achieve recognition and acclaim amongst his contemporaries.Sunday, March 31st – Heather Roth and James KibbyEntertaining audiences on Easter Sunday is talented musician Heather Roth and Acid Blues guitarist James Kibby. Heather Roth is a classically trained flautist and saxophonist with an incredible wealth of musical experience, having played all over the world with numerous bands, orchestras and performers. She will be sharing the stage with super talented jazz guitarist James Kibby best known for his performances with popular local band Acid Blues.
