Submitted by: CubicICE
Steinmüller Africa has furthered its mission to empower and serve the communities it operates in by sharing its expertise with the next generation of the industrial sector. Steinmüller Africa’s Technical Training Academy recently participated in a career day at Middelburg Technical High School in Mpumalanga.
The Executive Group Manager: Human Capital Management, Karin Kaempffer, addressed the youth and provided them with valuable information and insight by explaining what the different career choices in a corporate environment entails and how important it is to make the correct subject selections such as math’s and science, when perusing a technical career. “Our youth is very important, they are the future of the country and the industry. As a company, we were honoured to participate in such an event,” explained Kaempffer.
Danie Eksteen and his technical team gave learners demonstrations on welding processes and basic boilermaker applications.
“The sharing of knowledge, demonstrations, and a show of passion by people working in the relevant fields will surely plant seeds of thought for many future career choices,” commented Eksteen.
The appearance at Middelburg Technical High School may prove beneficial for the learners as the Mpumalanga town has an industrial sector booming with opportunities for the expertise shared by the company on its numerous mining and industrial sector plants.
