Kwikspace targets classroom backlog in Northern Cape

Over the past 12 months, Kwikspace has supplied over 80 prefabricated classrooms to 50 remote primary schools in the Northern Cape.

“Helping to combat a large backlog of educational requirements in the province, Kwikspace is able to meet the need for rapid, cost-effective supply of high-quality learning spaces,” explains Kwikspace’s Gerry de Beer. Its range of modular classrooms, ablutions, offices, diners and more are used by schools across South Africa, on a permanent or rental basis.

As is standard with Kwikspace’s modular classrooms, the buildings were fitted with windows, burglar guards, chalk boards and pin boards, with all electrical works installed and Factory Acceptance Tested. The result is a complete, plug-and-play, ready-to-use educational facility.

These prefabricated classrooms are fully relocatable and can handle multiple moves, allowing them to be redeployed to combat over-crowding and emergency accommodation needs. New units can be delivered in just six weeks, while rented units can be supplied within five to 10 working days.

Kwikspace modular units have a guaranteed minimum lifespan of 20 years.
