Kwikspace rental units offer cost-effective solution for fire sprinkler specialist

Kwikspace, Africa’s largest supplier of prefabricated mobile units, has supplied its new customer, Fire Sprinkler Installation, with accommodation, ablution and office units. This enabled the company to carry out on-site services efficiently for its client, the Langeni Sawmill in Mthatha.

Fire Sprinkler Installation was sub-contracted by the Sawmill, to install sprinkler systems inside the Sawmill and the surrounding buildings. In order to carry out the installation, Fire Sprinkler Installation required offices, ablutions and accommodation for its personnel. It opted to rent 10 accommodation units and 3 ablution units from Kwikspace, which would enable it to establish its teams on-site. Kwikspace office units are fitted with electrics and burglar bars. The ablution units are fully fitted with toilets and urinals, geysers, wash basins as well as showers.

Kwikspace delivered the units to the Sawmill timeously. “Site conditions were not ideal at the time of delivery, due to heavy rains. Kwikspace arranged for crane trucks to move the units into place and level the units accordingly, ensuring optimal installation,” explains Shaun Davis, Account Manager, Kwikspace.

“Having the Kwikspace units meant that there was no need for the Fire Sprinkler Installation team to commute for accommodation in the nearest town, or to rent a brick-and-mortar office space in town. They were comfortably and conveniently situated on-site,” explains Davis.  In addition, the 12-month rental contract with Kwikspace is more cost-effective than renting alternative accommodation
