Kwikspace celebrates 50th anniversary with expansion to Mpumalanga

Kwikspace market leader in modular buildings and rental units celebrated 50 years of business in 2022.  To reach this well-deserved milestone brings about feelings of gratitude as well as a time of reflection, according to the Chief Executive Dirk Steinberg.

“Assessment of where we are and of our future goals and aims took place”, explains Steinberg.  “Kwikspace is on a quest for continuous improvement and has a strategy focused on how to be agile in business as well as methods of seeking new opportunities for growth.  This culminated in talks of expansion to new regions.” 

Kwikspace prides itself on its national footprint. “While we operate across numerous industries, our company is in the business of people” explains Senior sales manager for rentals, Claude Naidoo.

 The ethos of Kwikspace Modular Buildings lies in reaching as many people as possible through providing quality infrastructure. The company supplies modular buildings to business several segments in South Africa and over- border, this gives the company the opportunity to reach people with a variety of requirements. Whether it is office space, storage facilities, kitchens, tuck shops, recreational centres, classrooms, toilets, showers, changerooms, training centres, security guardhouses, clinics, consulting rooms, control rooms or any of the other varying applications of their units, reaching people by providing a sense of comfort is what drives the staff at Kwikspace Modular Buildings.

In qualifying the decision to expand, Steinberg further explains, “We that our greatest marketing tool will always be, units on site and in use. We aim to reach people through the Kwikspace experience; therefore, it was important to carefully select the region into which we wished to expand into.”

 After careful consideration, the Mpumalanga province was selected as the region of choice for the new branch. The nearest Kwikspace branch was 350km away and this was seen as a barrier of entry into the local marketplace. With a fast- developing CBD and as a central point to northern parts of the Mpumalanga province, we saw Nelspruit as the perfect area of choice. As a rental company with a sales arm, the branch will contain a rental yard with units available for short- and long-term rental requirements across the entire region. Brand new manufactured buildings are available for sale and are supplied from our ISO - certified factory in Klipriver, Gauteng.

“The new branch is testament to the strides made by Kwikspace in the last 50 years”, says Steinberg. “As the market leader it is important that we challenge ourselves and grow constantly to ensure that the Kwikspace experience is more accessible and is an opportunity we want to capitalise on as we aim to set a solid foundation for the next 50 years”.

He concludes by saying, “Now that the Mpumalanga ranch has been established, the real excitement begins.
