Following the acquisition of Rexroth Filtration by Hengst Filtration GmbH in 2021, Hytec Fluid Technology (HFT) announces that it has been appointed the sole distributor of Hengst Filtration products to customers across sub-Saharan Africa. Hengst has been developing sophisticated filtration solutions for more than 60 years, to guarantee long and safe runtime of engines and systems. HFT is proud to extend these solutions to local customers.
HFT now offers the Hengst range of hydraulic filters for industrial and mobile hydraulic applications (previously manufactured by Rexroth Filtration). This includes breather filters, tank mounted filters/return line filter, inline filters, block mounting filters, suction and replacement cartridge filters, and filter elements. In addition, HFT will now offer customers the OPM-II oil cleanliness monitor and the WGM-Aqua Sensor, from the Hengst range of condition monitoring solutions.
“The filtration product range remains, the exception being the VacuClean,” explains Sandor Bottyan, General Manager, HFT. “These products are manufactured in the same factory by the same specialists, but now carry the Hengst branding”. The part numbers for items currently in market and on file will remain the same; the product packaging will bear a new seal, stating “Formerly Rexroth Filtration”.
HFT extends the same support to Hengst Filtration GmbH product range, as it did with Bosch Rexroth Filtration. As such, the Hengst Filtration Range is the preferred industrial filtration range within HFT and is fitted to all Hydraulic Power Unit (HPU) builds as a standard. Hengst guarantees that its filter products conform to all international standards and regulations, enhancing performance and lowering total cost of ownership. “Hengst Filtration GmbH is an ISO accredited organisation, certified compliant with ISO 45001:2018, ISO 14001:2015 and 9001:2015,” states Bottyan, reiterating the manufacturer’s commitment to safety and quality.
Bosch Rexroth’s commitment is that the Hengst products will be the preferred product range, for at least the next 5 years following the manufacturer’s acquisition of Rexroth Filtration. Hengst and Bosch Rexroth AG have also contractually agreed to minimum off-take of products and pricing schedules, states Bottyan.
Hengst Filtration GmbH, the German manufacturer of high-tech filtration products, including filter elements and hydraulic fluids, falls into the Industrial Sector of parent company, the Hengst Group. The acquisition of Rexroth Filtration was in line with the company’s strategy to achieve growth and expansion in the industrial filtration sector.
HFT is a Bosch Rexroth South Africa Group company.
