On 24 March 2022, the Bosch Rexroth South Africa Group of Companies held its annual Africa Sales Meeting (ASM), bringing together 240 personnel from companies across eight African countries. The virtual event was attended by sales representatives and managers, service and repair specialists, branch managers and support staff.
The theme for this year’s Meeting was Under the African Sun. “We wanted to showcase how we operate to achieve our customers’ goals through the collaboration of our companies, and by being bold. All our sales units across the African continent – all of them being under the African sun – came together to discuss, debate and align to the Group’s goals for the future,” explains Gillian Allin, Bosch Rexroth South Africa Group Marketing Manager.
The ASM serves to bring the organisation’s teams together once a year, to celebrate the Group’s sales achievements, and to encourage its people to reach future goals. The variety of presentation topics – including analyses of successful projects and introductions to new distributors – set the foundation for productive discussions and vibrant Q&A sessions.
Famed local comedian, Marc Lottering, provided stellar entertainment for the event, while a virtual award ceremony provided a great opportunity to acknowledge employee accomplishments.
This was the second time the ASM was held virtually. Empowered with technology, the Group was able to bring its entire Africa sales force into one “meeting”, enabling collaboration and knowledge-share among teams, companies and countries.
In his closing speech, Group CEO, Chris Riley emphasised the Group’s commitment to its customers through its target for 2022: to leave no customers behind and to hunt in packs to achieve a 10/10 sales target. Through this, the Group is well-positioned to Drive Africa Forward with its leading technologies and its commitment to customer excellence across the continent.
