Bosch Rexroth Africa Development appoints new Zimbabwean distributor

Bosch Rexroth Africa Development has appointed Boltgas as its distributor in Zimbabwe, with effect from March 2022. Boltgas is a well-known brand in the Zimbabwean market, with two branches strategically situated in Harare and Bulawayo respectively. In addition, Boltgas provides onsite services to local mines, to supply a variety of products and services. This includes filtration, hydraulics, mineral processing solutions, ground support and materials handling as well as transmission technology, to name a few. Boltgas boasts a skilled and committed workforce, with expertise in electrical, mechanical and civil engineering fields.

The newly appointed distributor will service a range of Bosch Rexroth customers in Zimbabwe, including international mining companies, industrial and agricultural clients, power and water utility companies, government and quasi-government institutions as well as NGOs. “Boltgas will provide customers with the full scope of Bosch Rexroth SA Group products. As a supplier of hydraulics and filtration solutions, as well as hose and fittings assembly technology, Boltgas’ capabilities are further being strengthened by the addition of the Bosch Rexroth SA range of fluid power products,” says Petrus Viljoen, Manager, Bosch Rexroth Africa Development.

Boltgas will source and supply fluid power spare parts, consumables, equipment and solutions, as well as design and project management services, with the support of the Bosch Rexroth Africa Development team. It will also manage procurement, supply chain and logistics. “We have the capabilities to provide aftersales services, which will be strengthened with the additional support from Bosch Rexroth Africa Development and its selected product specialists,” comments Matthew Sibanda, Boltgas Group CEO.

We are currently assessing the company’s training requirements, and will be conducting tailored in-country training for Boltgas (supported by online training). In the interim, the company will rely on the support from the Bosch Rexroth Group personnel until their team has refined the required skills.

Boltgas is in a strong position to support the already installed base in Zimbabwe. According to the terms of the distributor agreement, Boltgas will hold the distribution rights for two years with the option to extend the relationship going forward.
