Kick Start Your Career In Wine With The Cape Wine Academy
Submitted by: Ian DickinsonIf you’re interested in a career in wine, then the Cape Wine Academy’s Diploma Wine Course is an essential qualification. Throughout the highly acclaimed course, you will experience wines of the Old World and wines of the New World; learn about and taste wines from Europe, the Americas, Australia and New Zealand.
The Diploma Wine Course is made up of 4 modules. On completion of Module 1, the remaining modules can be done in any order over a 2- to- 4-year period. The course is partly self-study. Students must do 3 course assignments and a 3-hour written theory exam for each module.
Important Advisory
• The Diploma Wine Course is open to graduates who have successfully completed the Certificate Wine Course.
• The Cape Wine Academy promotes responsible use of alcohol.
• We recommend the use of spittoons supplied at the tastings, to reduce the excessive consumption of wine during the tastings.
• It is advisable to eat a meal before the start of each class.
• Please don’t wear perfume or aftershave when attending the classes – it affects everyone’s ability to smell the wine.
