It’s Going To Be Wine-Divine At The 2013 Tops Gugulethu Wine Festival
Submitted by: Ian DickinsonCAPE TOWN, WESTERN CAPE, SOUTH AFRICA: 17 APRIL 2013: Style it up for an evening of wine, music, food and wine-divine education at the 3rd annual TOPS Gugulethu Wine Festival taking place on Friday 24th May and Saturday 25th May 2013 on the rooftop of the Gugulethu Square Mall.
The third instalment of the festival promises to be a wine-divine affair filled with fun, food, fabulousness, a few celebrity appearances and a wide array of fantastic South African wines to taste and savour.
Festival co-founders and local entrepreneurs, Mzoli Ngcawuzele and Lungile Mbalo from Mzoli’s Place, are promising visitors an impressive festival whist also celebrating Africa Day, which falls on Saturday 25th May, providing all with an opportunity to acknowledge the achievements of the peoples of Africa and to reaffirm efforts to build a better future for all.
The TOPS Gugulethu Wine Festival objective is to create wine awareness and education amongst the broader consumer markets in the Western Cape whilst also expanding the wine consumer base for wineries.
Festival Highlights:
Nederburg Taste Theatre: 3 sessions per night, theatre-style food and wine pairing experience
• Featuring Pete-Geoff Wood and a Nederburg Winemaker
• Fine Brandy. By Design: 3 sessions per night, theatre-style chocolate and brandy experience
• Chocolate and Brandy tastings sessions with the country’s finest Brandies.
