Three Interns Embark on an Exciting Career Journey at Plastics SA Through Government’s YES Programme

Plastics SA is proud to welcome three talented interns as part of the Youth Employment Service (YES) Programme, a South African Government initiative aimed at tackling youth unemployment. Supported by Safripol, which has generously funded the interns’ salaries, the programme provides invaluable work experience, equipping participants with the skills needed to contribute meaningfully to the economy and grow personally and professionally.
Empowering South Africa’s Youth
The YES Programme offers young South Africans practical workplace experience across various industries, fostering resilience, expertise, and self-confidence. This year, Plastics SA proudly introduces:
Oratile Kadiege
- Role: Intern in the Technical Department, Plastics SA Head Office, Midrand
- Background: Oratile, 22, hails from Moretele, Hammanskraal, North-West. A graduate of Tshwane University of Technology with a BEng Tech in Materials Engineering (Polymer Technology), she is passionate about sustainable development in the plastics industry.
Nkosingiphile “Philie” Gumede
- Role: Intern in the Regional Office, KwaZulu-Natal
- Background: Philie holds a Diploma in Public Administration: Supply Chain Management from Durban University of Technology. She assists with administration and project management.
Lwandile Dladla
- Role: Intern in the Administrative Department, Plastics SA Head Office, Midrand
- Background: Lwandile, 21, is completing a Diploma in Event Management from Tshwane University of Technology. Her passions include community service, reading, and meditating.
