Plastics SA appoints new Technical Trainer for Western Cape
Submitted by: Monique HoltzhausenThe Western Cape regional office of Plastics SA is pleased to announce the appointment of Daniel Julius as its new Technical Trainer.
Daniel completed his Technical Matric at St Andrew's High School in Elsies River, Cape Town. At the age of 19, he began his career in the plastics industry as a toolroom assistant and later supervisor at Plastimulti's moulding division. He has gained extensive industry experience since then, having worked for more than five years at Solvpac in KwaZulu-Natal, nine years at Nampak in their Liquid, Megapak and Petpak departments, Sans Fibres in their draw twist and spinning sections and Drago Plastics in Parow. He is currently working on his PMI Operations Management certificate.
"I am excited and thrilled to be part of the Plastics SA team," Daniel says of his new position. “The plastics industry is here to stay, and it is an honour to impart knowledge on plastics, to students".
He enjoys playing board games and relaxing with his family in his spare time. He describes himself as trustworthy, caring and patient, and he admits to having an exceptional ability to remain calm under pressure.
"I am very passionate about assisting those in need, and I see my position at Plastics SA as a wonderful vehicle to uplift others," Daniel concludes.
