Catch Virtual Gas Network at the Mozambique Gas Summit
Written by: CubicICE (PTY) Ltd Save to InstapaperVirtual Gas Network (VGN), a division of CNG Holdings and the road-based transporter of natural gas to businesses and industry within Gauteng, will be exhibiting at the Mozambique Gas Summit from 18 to 20 October.
The natural gas industry in South Africa is expanding at an unprecedented rate thanks to the discovery of major, globally significant quantities of the resource in and around Mozambique. The recent discovery of natural gas in the Rovuma Basin, just off the Mozambique coast, is the biggest natural gas find across the world in decades, and underlines the importance of the country’s natural gas reserves on the world stage.
The Mozambique Gas Summit, now in its fourth year, is the premier calendar event for the natural gas industry in Mozambique, and attracts oil producers, technologists, scientists and academics, government and investors from across the world in developing the natural gas infrastructure.
VGN, whose core business is in managing the distribution of natural gas to customers not located on a gas pipeline, will aim to create awareness about the current scope for natural gas use in South Africa, and is looking at participating in the developments in Mozambique supplying into Mpumalanga. The company operates a gas distribution network comprising the supply and transport of mobile tube trailers storing the gas at a high pressure, available to any customer within a 300 km radius of its compression station in Langlaagte, Johannesburg.
The Mozambique Gas Summit is being held at the Joaquim Chissano International Conference Centre, Maputo, from 18 to 20 October, and VGN will be at stand C08.
