Afroteq Advisory, an AFMS Group company, has promoted Xolisa Fumba to Executive Director, effective 1 November 2023.
Xolisa has been with the Afroteq Advisory group for the past decade. He says he enjoys working for the company as it gives him the freedom to do what he is passionate about: manage projects from inception to their fruition, drive customer-focused solutions, and learn from his mistakes - all of which he values.
"I am very excited about being appointed to this senior role and being trusted with the new responsibilities, as it broadens my professional scope and offers me a whole new range of challenges. I am now less focussed on operations and more on the company's development and strategy”, Xolisa says.
Global events such as the wars between Russia and Ukraine, and between Israel and Palestine, along with local events such as load shedding, economic challenges and transportation issues, all impact how companies choose to conduct their business. “South Africa’s economy is taking strain, which influences not only our expansion plans, but also those of our clients. We view these challenges as an opportunity for Afroteq Advisory as we endeavour to streamline and improve both our operations and those of our clients,” he explains.
Xolisa praises Afroteq Advisory for creating a corporate culture where achieving personal and professional goals is supported and encouraged.
“I am very excited about my new tasks and responsibilities, knowing that I have the backing of Afroteq Advisory’s executive team. It is comforting to know that I am part of a collective where one’s vision is strengthened, and resources are made available to help you achieve your leadership objectives. Even though I have been with the company for a long time, I continue to learn new things and feel excited every day about the prospect of coming to work,” Xolisa concludes.
