V&A Waterfront leadership update announcement

17 September 2025, Cape Town, South Africa. The Board of Directors of the V&A Waterfront today announce that following an extensive local and international search, the board has appointed former Chief Operations Officer Hospitality of Sun International Limited, Graham Wood as CEO Designate to current CEO David Green who will be retiring in early 2026.
Under 17 years of David Green’s remarkable leadership the V&A Waterfront achieved significant milestones to set it apart as the subcontinent’s number one most visited tourist destination and one of the country’s most successful public-private partnerships and mixed-use development properties.
Graham brings a wealth of experience in the Property, Hospitality and Tourism industry having held senior positions at both Sun International and Southern Sun, playing a leading role in the rejuvenation of its Sun City Resort and improving the operating capability and profitability of its Hotels, Resorts and Casinos.
The board is confident that Graham will build on the strong foundation to lead the Waterfront on its next chapter of growth and innovation for the people of Cape Town and South Africa as well as the international tourism market and also wishes to extend its sincere appreciation for David Green’s visionary and exemplary leadership during his tenure.
