Gesture reflects the ongoing dedication to uplifting vulnerable members of society
Carnival City extended a helping hand to Elethu Home for the Disabled in Daveyton with a donation of clothing.
Elethu Home, formerly known as Cheshire Home, has been serving the community since 1996. The NGO provides residential care and support to 20 residents living with physical disabilities and employs 16 staff members who ensure round the clock care and dignity for those in their care.
While the organisation does receive government funding, this support does not fully cover its operational costs. Homes such as Elethu rely on additional assistance from partners and donors to meet everyday needs and maintain a comfortable, safe environment for residents.
“The donation of clothing will contribute towards improving the daily lives of residents, helping to meet practical needs while reinforcing a sense of dignity and care,” said Khaya Mnyanda (Project Manager) from Elethu, which received the donation on end of January.
“Carnival City remains committed to supporting organisations that make a meaningful difference within our community,” says Bryan O'Connor, Carnival City’s General Manager.
The contribution reflects an ongoing dedication by Carnival City to uplifting vulnerable members of society and partnering with NGOs that are working tirelessly to provide essential services.
