Fast-paced racquet sport is suitable for all ages and skill levels
Padel is a fast-paced racquet sport combining elements of tennis and squash, played in doubles on an enclosed court with glass walls. It is easy to learn, highly social, and suitable for all ages and skill levels, making it ideal for first-time players, families, social groups, and competitive athletes alike.
Sun International is smashing this craze by introducing padel to two of its East Coast properties. Sun Padel Sibaya is a premium padel destination within the iconic Sibaya Casino & Entertainment Kingdom precinct, offering one of the world’s fastest-growing sports in a vibrant, lifestyle-driven environment; Sun Padel Wild Coast with its state-of-the-art courts, aims to position padel as more than just a sport, but a signature lifestyle offering.
With decades of experience in gaming hospitality and entertainment, Sun International has built a reputation for reliability, excellence, and innovation so it’s no surprise it is at the forefront of this phenomenon.
Through expertly maintained courts, structured play opportunities, and engaging entertainment elements, the experience attracts resort guests, local communities, and visitors seeking something new, exciting, and social, to both locations. Pack your kit, or rent there.
At both locations, this is a premium sporting and social experience designed for players of every level. Whether you’re discovering padel for the first time or chasing competitive rallies, the world-class courts, electric atmosphere, and vibrant community make every match unforgettable.
Play under professional-grade conditions, feel the energy of great music, great people and great competition, then unwind off-court with friends, food, and drinks as the game carries on beyond the final point.
From social games and coaching to leagues, events, and unforgettable match-day vibes, Sun Padel Sibaya and Sun Padel Wild Coast plan to bring people together through sport.
“Our vision is to establish Sun Padel Sibaya as the home of padel on the North Coast — a destination where sport, lifestyle, and community meet,” says Virath Gobrie, General Manager of Sibaya Casino & Entertainment Kingdom. “The facility aligns perfectly with Sibaya’s entertainment offering by introducing a modern, high-energy sport that appeals to a broad demographic, from locals and tourists to corporates and families.”
Open daily from 06h00 to 23h00, the facility currently comprises four outdoor padel courses, scheduled to become fully indoor in the first quarter of 2026, enhancing playability and year-round comfort.
Amenities include equipment rental, free parking, a retail store, restaurant, cafeteria and snack bar, changing rooms with lockers and showers, and free Wi-Fi.

At Sun Padel Wild Coast, the experience goes beyond the game itself, offering an inclusive, vibrant environment where sport, entertainment, and lifestyle intersect, surrounded by sweeping ocean views, lush landscapes, and the unmistakable atmosphere of a world class resort.
Beyond the court, guests can soon enjoy music driven activations, food and beverage offerings, and relaxed social spaces where players and spectators connect effortlessly. The café facility build will be complete in a couple of months’ time. It will be easy to spend an entire day here, moving from competitive play to chilled sundowners, from high energy matches to laidback social moments.
“Whether you’re visiting for the game, the social scene, or the scenic escape, Sun Padel Wild Coast invites you to go beyond the court and into an experience that captures the spirit of play, community, and coastal luxury. We’re very excited to be at the forefront of this popular sport,” says general manager Henry Tshegetso Boekhouer.
Sun Padel Wild Coast courts are open from 08h00 to 21h00 daily, and it costs R400 per person to play. Go to https://playtomic.com/clubs/sun-padel-wild-coast or download the Playtomic app from the App Store or Google Play to book your game.
In relation to both new padel facilities Jordyn Murcia, of Padel Club at 10by20 said, “Padel is more than a sport, it’s a culture and a community. Sun Padel Sibaya and Sun Padel Wild Coast Sun represents the next evolution with destinations that match the global padel standard while embracing the energy, lifestyle, and people of South Africa. This is about building something bigger than a single club, it’s about creating a place people want to return to, even when they’re not playing.”
