King of the Whip 2023 produces yet another FMX spectacle at Montecasino

Presenting the official Highlights Video from King of the Whip 2023 – An action-packed five-hour show condensed into a four-minute banger edit featuring the Ultimate Whip Showdown and FMX Best Tricks. 

26 Motocross and Freestyle Motocross riders went head-to-head in the Best Whip and Best Trick contests in front of the biggest KOTW crowd to date. A sold-out Montecasino saw 6000 fans treated to the biggest whips ever seen on African soil.

Witness our local riders put it all on the line as they competed for podium positions against three international competitors. Belgium's Julien Vanstippen returned to South Africa to defend his crown. However, going up against the legend of big whips, Spain's Edgar Torronteras, was not an easy task. The two fought for top honours right to the end of the Finals, with Vanstippen edging out the Spaniard to claim back-to-back KOTW wins. Local Heroes Dallan Goldman, Jesse Wright and Dalton Venter rounded off the podium in 3rd, 4th and 5th, respectively.

The show's highlight was Marc Pinyol (Spain) in the Best Trick contest as he landed the California Roll to take the win.
