Port Alfred—Entries for the Rip Curl GromSearch and the Rip Curl Cup, presented by the Royal St Andrews Hotel and supported by Sea Harvest, will close on Monday, April 14th.
The Rip Curl Cup is an anchor event for the Port Alfred Easter Festival, the multi-sports, cultural and music festival that takes place annually over the Easter Weekend in Port Alfred.
It is a speciality surfing event that will commence as soon as the Rip Curl GromSearch concludes. It is an open event, with limited entries. Entries For The Rip Curl portal HERE
Prize Money
The Rip Curl Cup has R79k in total prizes across the two divisions, Open Men and Open Women.
First place: R22k
Second place: R10k
Third place: R5k
Fourth place: R2,5k
The Rip Curl GromSearch is the second contest in a four-event series. It has U12, U14, U16 and U18 Girls and Boys divisions and the winners of the Premier U16 Girls and Boys divisions will win an entry into the Rip Curl Global GromSearch Final in September.
