Fivefold Indulgence at Lacuna Bistro in Sandton - An opulent five-course menu every Friday

Take your date night to the next level with Friday Fivefold Indulgence now happening every week at The Maslow Sandton, until the end of the month. Embark on an opulent culinary journey designed for discerning tastes – a lavish celebration of flavour, plated across five luxurious courses.
The menu is inspired by wanting to offer busy corporate professionals a moment to pause, reconnect, and unwind after a demanding week. Designed with elegance and comfort in mind, the menu brings together refined flavours and seasonal ingredients in a relaxed, upmarket bistro setting. It’s a culinary invitation to slow down, savour each bite, and turn Friday evenings into a cherished ritual of good food, great company, and a chance to celebrate with sophistication.
This is more than dinner – it’s a luxurious start to the weekend, wrapped in splendour, flavour, and effortless style. Each bite has been curated with intention by Executive Sous Chef Thokozane Shongwe and his talented team.
For R1350 per couple, the five-course experience begins with an amuse bouche of prawn arancini with marinara aioli, followed by a choice of two starters: creamy mussel hot pot with salsa verde and toasted ciabatta; or beef steak tartare dressed with capers, gherkins, red onion, truffle aioli, egg yolk and a crispy crouton.
After a light and refreshing palate cleanser of lemon sorbet with grilled pineapple and rum salsa, it’s on to the main course.
Choose between surf & turf (250g beef fillet, tiger prawns, potato pavé, carrot purée, and garlic jus), chicken supreme (tomato cumin orzo, confit heirloom tomatoes, pickled red onion), salmon teriyaki (with stir-fried bok choy, edamame beans and mashed potato), or cauliflower steak with white bean purée, pickled vegetables and chimichurri.
The decadent culmination of this exquisite meal offers three options: traditional malva pudding served warm with rooibos infused custard; baked milk tart – a South African classic with a delicate milk custard filling infused with cinnamon, set in a crisp short crust pastry; and for the savoury palate, the local cheese selection is an assortment of locally sourced artisanal cheeses, served with preserves, crackers, and seasonal accompaniments.
Seating is limited, so book now.
