It’s summer picnic time

Sunny skies, deck chairs and bubbles set the scene for elegant Sundays at The Maslow’s Sunday Society Picnics
Picnic season continues unabated at The Maslow in Sandton with an elevated garden experience where chic fashion meets gourmet indulgence at the Sunday Society events every month until May.
Set against the lush backdrop of The Maslow’s manicured lawns, each date offers live entertainment, a picnic basket for two plus a hot food selection, and a glass of Graham Beck bubbly on arrival. Whether you're returning as a loyal guest or discovering the magic for the first time, this picnic series is a calendar highlight that promises sophistication, connection, and unforgettable Sunday vibes.
Soak up the sunshine and celebrate carefree elegance as the January edition encourages you to Sparkle in the Sun as the dress code and theme, with dazzling sequins and glowing metallics that capture the magic of summer. Shine bright with radiant tones and shimmering details and stand out in the crowd.
Sip your welcome glass of Graham Beck bubbly, and snack on the popcorn and house-made potato crisps in the picnic basket. You’ll find churros, ginger cheesecake, and red velvet opera cake for dessert too.
Between that, pile your plate with the Harvest Table offering which includes a selection of breads and dips, salads, and a cheese board with crackers and preserves. From the hot buffet, enjoy beef kebabs with chimichurri, panko prawns with coconut aioli, lasagne, pork loin piccata and cheese arancini. Vegan options are available.
Each season will feature a different menu with exciting new dishes so you can come back again and again for a fresh and vibrant new experience every time.
Upcoming events include a Valentine’s extravaganza on Sunday, 15 February 2026, with love as the theme, inviting you to dress in styled white with a hint of red. Why not make it a romantic weekend escape? Extend your indulgence by booking a Saturday night stay for two at The Maslow Sandton and wake up to a delicious breakfast at Lacuna Bistro on Sunday morning before the picnic. The stay over option is available for every picnic weekend.
February is not only for romance of course; The Sunday Society events are just as perfect for a “Galentine’s” celebration, where friends gather to toast friendship, fabulous fashion and carefree afternoons in the sun. Whether it’s couples, best friends, or a stylish social circle, these picnics offer a versatile, inclusive experience designed to celebrate connection in all its forms — making every Sunday at The Maslow a reason to dress up, unwind and indulge.
The season runs until May 2026. On 1 March, the theme is Monochrome Chic: dress head-to-toe in single colour styling, followed by Denim & White where smart meets casual in denim and crisp white on 5 April.
May 10 is Mother's Day, the perfect time to embrace a gentle palette of pastels inspired by love, warmth and the beauty of this special occasion with your beloved mom.
