Canal Walk retailers celebrate service excellence

Canal Walk Shopping Centre’s top retailers were honoured at a prestigious function at the Century City Conference Centre, at the presentation of the Canal Walk Retail Excellence Awards 2025.
The awards acknowledged tenants who have provided superior levels of retail performance and customer service. The tenants are awarded in various trading categories including the best New Stores & Refurbishments, which went to Bootlegger, Château Gâteaux, Flight Centre, JD Sports, Jet, L'Occitane en Provence, Markham, PAUL, Reebok, Silki, Skechers, Sterns and The FIX.
The ultimate award, the Canal Walk Retailer of the Year award which is the highest honour of this annual event, was presented to Silki, who won R30 000 in Canal Walk Gift Cards. Canal Walk GM, Mandy Bellamy, explained that this award is presented based on a number of factors, in addition to overall successful trading, including the group’s high level of proactivity and the value that the store adds to Canal Walk Shopping Centre overall.
Canal Walk retailers which were acknowledged as the best in their retail categories included @home, ABSA Bank, ASICS, Birkenstock, Bogart Man, Bossa, Browns The Diamond Store, Checkers, Clicks, Destinations by Frasers, EDGE for Men, Freedom Adventure Park, J&M Famous Biltong, LEGO, Nicci Boutique, Old School, Silki, Sunglass Hut, Ted Baker, The Donut Center, Vodacom and Yuppiechef.
“The Retail Excellence Awards is our opportunity to celebrate, recognise, reward and appreciate our best performing tenants for their exceptional contribution to the success of Canal Walk,” says Bellamy.

24 December: 09h00 - 21h00
25 December: optional trading
26 - 31 December: 09h00 - 21h00

2 January onwards: 09h00 - 21h00
