Insurance Claims Conference 2022 - South Africa’s insurance outlook prior to COVID

With the COVID-19 out-break, fraudsters have found an easy loop hole when it comes to insurance claims. According to the Association for Saving and Investment South Africa (ASISA), insurers reported a 12% increase in fraudulent and dishonest claims across all lines of business under the pandemic.

Umbono Conferences and Events will be hosting its first Insurance Claims Conference which will be taking place on the 6 and 7 July 2022 at the Focus Rooms, Mooderfontein. This conference is being organised as a hybrid conference affording delegates the choice of attending physically or virtually.

The aim of this conference is to gather main key role players within the insurance industry to debate and discuss how they can overcome the challenges faced by insurers and how best to handle the decrease of fraudulent and dishonest claims. Also, to be addressed is how the COVID-19 outbreak has impacted the insurance industry, operationally and economically.

The programme is divided into four sessions that will address the overview of South Africa’s insurance outlook prior to COVID-19, the importance of aligning regulatory compliance with business sustainability, insurance fraud and technology.

The conference also affords delegates the platform to interact and network with leading industry thought-leaders, we aim to attract attendees from contact centers (call centers), insurance companies, banks and service providers.
