24 August 2022, in celebrating its four years of existence, Zuru Skincare and Zurubaby extended a helping hand to the Rock of Hope home on Wednesday, 24 August 2022. The Rock of Hope home is situated in Magalieskruin Pretoria and was established in 2011. It is a registered place of safety, nursery and loving home for abandoned babies and toddlers.
For the brand’s fourth birthday, Zuru’s Managing Director, Nonceba Hlengani presented a cheque of R5 000 to the home, alongside Zurubaby products for the babies. This donation is part of a partnership between the organisation and Zurubaby whereby every R2 per Zurubaby product sold through the Clicks retail store will go to the home.
Zurubaby MD Nonceba Hlengani said: “We are so excited to finally hand over this cheque to the Rock of Hope home. This is one of our proudest moments as a brand to faithfully be able to add the little we have and make a difference in these kids' lives. We know that this is the first of many other
The Zuru team spent the morning getting acquainted with the babies. They played with them, fed them and put them to sleep. They were able to immerse themselves in the typical morning routine at The Rock Of Hope home.
The home founders Wouter and Mientjie Prozesky were grateful
Prozesky said: “Thank you for your visit and the amazing donation of funds and products. We are dumbfounded by the open hearts and spirit of giving that exists in our community. You have made such a huge difference in the lives of these little ones in our care. Your donations assist us in caring and providing for them. Thanks to you, we are a little closer to doing just that.”
