Retail Centre Owner and Manager Impact Over 30,000 Children and 1,300 Teachers

Hyprop proudly celebrates another successful year partnering with the Santa Shoebox Project, South Africa’s cherished initiative. Through 2024, Hyprop’s eight malls played pivotal roles in the collective donation of 74,751 shoeboxes countrywide, with 23,636 coming from Hyprop malls. These contributions brought festive joy and essentials to disadvantaged children across the country.

Hyprop’s Contribution Breakdown Over Three Years

The Hyprop Foundation’s investments over the past three years have totalled R1.1 million:

• 2024: R400,000 for 574 teachers and 12,048 children
• 2023: R350,000 for 238 teachers and 4,150 children
• 2022: R350,000 for 508 teachers and 14,442 children

In three years, these efforts have impacted 30,640 children and over 1,300 teachers, supporting teacher training in Early Childhood Development (ECD) with essential skills like perceptual training and toy creation from recyclables.

Hyprop centres have served as collection hubs, encouraging donations of personalised shoeboxes containing essentials and treats.
