A Triumph of Supercare’s Dedication - 96 Learners Graduate with Hygiene & Cleaning Certifications
Written by: Empact Group Save to Instapaper
Johannesburg, South Africa, March 2025 – Determination, perseverance and ambition took centre stage as 96 learners from Empact Group’s Supercare business celebrated their graduation, earning their Level 1 Further Education and Training Certificates (FETCs) in Hygiene and Cleaning. Their achievement represents more than just a qualification, it is a testament to resilience, self-improvement and the power of opportunity.
Celebrating Success: A Milestone in Learning & Growth
The graduates were honoured across three ceremonies, two at the company’s head office and one at a Secunda site where Supercare GM NG Wayne Bowen handed proud graduates their hard-earned certifications. Each event was filled with pride as learners, many of whom faced significant personal challenges, stepped forward in their academic robes to receive their certificates.
Among them was Dylan Abrahams, whose story stands as a source of inspiration. Despite being Deaf, Dylan has successfully completed Levels 1, 2 and 3 of the FETC programme. His perseverance and excellence have led to his appointment as a Facilitator within the Learning and Development Department, marking a historic first for the organisation. His journey highlights the impact of education and opportunity within Empact Group.
Words of Wisdom: Leaders Inspire Graduates to Aim Higher
Johan Gerber, Managing Director of Supercare by Empact, addressed the graduates with words of encouragement: “Education is a stepping stone to greater opportunities. Those who continue their development position themselves for leadership roles within our business. There are endless possibilities for those who are willing to learn and grow.”
Empact Group CEO Alan Quinn echoed the company’s core values in his speech: “Courage, Service and Partnership are the foundation of our organisation. The courage shown by each graduate in completing this qualification speaks volumes. This accomplishment is a partnership between you and Empact Group, and we hope you use this knowledge to enhance the service you provide to our clients and communities.”
The ceremonies were further enriched by inspiring words from senior leaders, including Group HR Executive Salwa Albertyn, Supercare HR General Manager Mashadi Nkosi, and Supercare’s NCIS & SG Central GM Moeketsi Makgelemele. Each speaker emphasised the importance of continuous learning, seizing opportunities and maintaining excellence in the workplace.
Investing in People: A Commitment to the Future
The success of these graduates would not have been possible without the dedication of Empact Group’s Learning and Development Department, led by Colette Herbst. The team’s commitment to nurturing talent and empowering employees is evident in the impact of their work.
Education at Empact Group extends beyond academics to include mentorship, personal growth and unlocking potential. As the company continues to invest in its people, more employees will have the opportunity to advance their careers and contribute meaningfully to the business.
