Boasting the highest number of Blue Flag beaches in KwaZulu-Natal, and with all beaches open for bathing, the KZN South Coast is ready to welcome visitors for a bumper summer holiday season.
During the annual Mayoral Roadblock on Friday, 13 December, Ray Nkonyeni Municipality (RNM) Mayor Cllr Zodwa Mzindle and Dr Vusumuzi Sibiya, CEO of South Coast Tourism & Investment Enterprise (SCTIE), personally welcomed travellers at the Oribi Toll Plaza. The pair handed out goodie bags while law enforcement ensured safe travel for holidaymakers.
A Vibrant Welcome to Holidaymakers
To mark the occasion, Gagasi FM brought the festive cheer with a live broadcast from the Mayoral Roadblock. Visitors were directed to explore the KZN South Coast’s:
- Beautiful Blue Flag beaches.
- World-class dive sites.
- 11 premier golf courses.
- Hinterland and cultural adventures in the Paradise of the Zulu Kingdom.
Holidaymakers were encouraged to make the most of their trip by downloading the ‘Explore KZN South Coast’ app, visiting the official website, and keeping up with local activities on the Events Calendar.
