Johannesburg’s newest indoor entertainment destination, anchored by Valo Motion’s award-winning attractions, brings a next-gen family experience inside a shopping mall.
Johannesburg, South Africa, [01 December 2025] – Total Ninja Interactive has opened in Fourways Mall, Johannesburg, introducing the ValoPark-inspired concept to the South African market. Following the success of its Dubai opening earlier this year, the brand has launched its indoor entertainment park that combines physical play with immersive mixed reality games, all designed by Finnish company, Valo Motion.
Located in Fourways Mall at Shop F12 (Upper Mall), this is the first venue in South Africa to feature Valo Motion’s mixed-reality attractions - a milestone for next-generation active entertainment in the region.
Total Ninja Interactive includes six units of ValoJump air, two units of ValoClimb, and one ValoArena providing a unique, high-energyexperience. Other attractions include Dodge Attack, Wipeout, and Battle Ball, with a Mini Ninja Soft Play for the little ones. There’s also a café and a spectator zone for parents and visitors, with five dedicated party rooms for group events and birthdays.
Total Ninja Group operates several large-scale adventure parks across South Africa under its main brand. Known for its fitness-focused obstacle courses, the company has built a strong reputation for creating spaces where visitors can play and challenge themselves in a family-friendly setting.
With Total Ninja Interactive, the brand takes the next step in its evolution, blending its physical park roots with immersive, mixed-reality games, bringing this unique tech-driven experience to Johannesburg.
"We’re expecting South Africans to be blown away, because nothing like this exists here yet,” said Dorita Correia, Chief Operating Officer of the Total Ninja Group. “We saw a gap for experiences that speak to Gen Z and Alpha: active, social, and a real break from screens at home - and Total Ninja Interactive helps us deliver exactly that.
“Working with Valo Motion has made it possible to bring this vision to life. Their team brought their expertise and support throughout planning, installation, and daily operations. The attractions are straightforward to run, easy to maintain, and always engaging. We saw in Dubai how quickly the model worked and we believe the same energy will light up Johannesburg.”
Valo Motion created ValoPark in response to the modern demand for an experience that blends active play, digital gaming, and efficient operations in compact retail spaces. Acting as a Fun Court for malls, Total Ninja Interactive gives families a reason to stay longer and return more often.
With its second ValoPark-inspired venue now open, Total Ninja Interactive is proving how the model scales across markets, delivering strong repeat appeal, low operational overhead, and a guest experience built for today’s digital-native generation.
"Last year, we announced the Dubai venue during IAAPA Expo in Orlando, and now we’re seeing a second ValoPark-inspired park open in South Africa,” said Dr Raine Kajastila, CEO of Valo Motion. “It’s great to see this solution working for operators who want to grow in premium retail locations. The idea was to make active indoor entertainment easy to run, scalable, and super fun for guests, and seeing it succeed across markets like this is incredibly rewarding.”
