The Sea Harvest Ethekweni Junior Open took place at Dairy Beach over the weekend of 21-23 June.
Conditions were small, the wind was blustery, and the Surfing South Africa event officials did a sterling job of running this competition in at-times challenging conditions.
For the surfers, it was a small-wave contest, with small-wave tricks and any sign of a bigger wave getting extra points on the board.
Maya Malherbe (EL), back from her trip to Australia, showed her fine form with a win in the U12's
Nate Colby (DBN) showed that he has recovered from the niggling injury and won U18 Boys.
Louise Lepront (Scottburgh)won both the U16 and U18 Girls divisions, finding points on small lefts.
