African Licence offers free learner's licence courses

Written by: Save to Instapaper

Creative Colibri, the creators of African Licence, has, in a bid to improve road safety in South Africa, decided to offer free access to African Licence until December 2014. This means all Learners Licence tests, questions and study materials will be free for all students.

Christo Crampton, Chief Commercial Officer says: “African Licence has been successful beyond our expectations - with an already high market share, the site is expanding rapidly and taking share from the physical segment and other online players."

The main motivation for moving from a partially paid to a fully free site is to support the Government of South Africa’s drive to improve road safety in South Africa. In an environment where students have limited discretionary income and where corruption is rife, Creative Colibri is hoping that a free proposition can encourage more learners licence students to spend time learning rules of the road and therefore become safer driver.

Says Mr. Crampton: “We will keep funding African Licence, making it not only free but without any advertisements. Our focus going forward is on international expansion and further enhancement of African Licence usability. Our international propositions have already had a substantial impact."
