Mpumelelo Academy attends Midvaal's Youth Summit on the 28th of November 2025 in Meyerton

1 December 2025, Savanna City, Gauteng - Mpumelelo Academy attended Midvaal's 3rd annual Youth Summit on November 28, 2025 in Meyerton. The academy, alongside the Ranyaka Community Transformation group, Nedbank and the Savanna City Skills Development Centre were amongst the organizations invited by the Municipality.
The event took place at the Midvaal Christian Centre, which drew in the youth in numbers. many young people took advantage of the opportunities that were being offered, as random prizes, vouchers and gifts were also being showered.
The event also brought in more partners to help create chances for young people. Some of these included government agencies, private-sector partners, NGOs, and NPOs which exhibited their services to young people throughout the day.
“As a government that is closest to the people, we see the big challenges facing youth. These include poverty, unemployment, lack of opportunities, inequality, and other social issues that affect them.” said Mayor Peter Teixeira as he reassured the youth that the municipality would continue to “create opportunities for all” by strengthening partnerships that uplift young people.
