From Bump to Baby - The Real Mama Club Events Are Back Bigger, Better, and Nationwide
Written by: Babies R Us Save to Instapaper
Calling all new and expecting parents. The much-loved Babies R Us Real Mama Club event series is back and bigger than ever, with 12 exciting events taking place nationwide from April to November.
Now in its fourth year, this must-attend event is designed for moms and dads who are expecting or navigating the first year of their baby’s life. Whether you’re a first-time parent or adding to your growing brood, this event is your ultimate guide to surviving—and thriving—through the early stages of parenthood.
A Day of Connection, Learning & Fun
Taking place across Western Cape, Eastern Cape, KwaZulu-Natal, and Gauteng, the Real Mama Club events offer an unforgettable experience filled with expert advice, real insights, and valuable parenting tips which are not always covered in antenatal classes.
Attendees can look forward to engaging discussions led by top childcare professionals, interactive sessions on key parenting topics, and a supportive community of fellow parents. Topics range from baby milestones, introducing solids, and car seat safety to postnatal depression, relationships after birth, and securing your baby’s financial future.
Topics covered at this year include:
- Boundaries and babies presented by midwife Sister Des Meyer
- Car seat safety showcased by Joie South Africa
- Baby milestones presented by midwife Sister Des Meyer
- Introduction to solids from dietician Kath Megaw
- Securing your child’s financial future with Old Mutual
- Postnatal depression presented by clinical psychologist Kiara Sunder
- Sex after birth session with pelvic health physiotherapist, Chantelle Wills.
A Perfect Day Out for Parents
“Parenting is an incredible journey filled with both joy and challenges,” says Catherine Jacoby, Marketing Manager at Babies R Us. “These events provide a space for parents to learn, connect, and feel supported, because it truly takes a village to raise a child.”
Dads are welcome too. The event is not just for moms—many expecting and new fathers have joined in previous years to gain valuable insights. Plus, Super Nannies will be on-site to provide expert childcare, for babies younger than 6 months, ensuring parents can relax and enjoy the day.
What’s Included in the ticket?
For just R300 per ticket, parents will receive:
- A goodie bag filled with essential mom and baby products
